Subprocessors

Starmind engages third-party service providers to deliver Starmind services to customers. With respect to the customer’s personal data that is subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the customer is a controller, Starmind is a processor and third-party providers engaged by Starmind are sub-processors (“Subprocessors”).
This page lists all current Sub-processors engaged by Starmind.
As of March 2021, both the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield are still deemed to be an invalid ground of international data transfer. In cases where Privacy Shield was used in the past, Starmind has signed EU Standard Contractual Clauses with the respective Subprocessor. The list below provides the required details for each individual Subprocessor.

Email services
Starmind uses transactional email providers for sending notification emails and other emails like invitations, reminders, summaries, recommendations, etc. to end users of Starmind platform. The data transferred to the provider for sending emails: user attributes (name, surname, email address), a snippet about the respective question, answer, or comment.
As a Starmind customer you can choose one of the following two email providers based on your data protection preferences:
